The Environmental Quality Mark (EQM) is an environmental award scheme that celebrates:

• a passion for place and environment

• how that passion is shared with customers

We award the EQM to any business or organisation that demonstrates how they use and enhance their place in a sustainable way in order to increase the fulfilment of their customers.

When we award the EQM, we look for a business or organisation to demonstrate:

• how it runs a good, sustainable business or activity

• how it reduces any negative impact on the environment

• how it supports communities

• how it influences customer behaviour, engagement and knowledge
